Laura and I connected several years ago when she designed my logo. She is an incredibly multi-talented artist whose work I admire so much. You can see so clearly in these photographs the gentleness and grace she shows her girls and brand new baby brother.

We chose Eden Gardens State Park for our session. The huge live oak trees, cobblestone paths, and warm summer light creates the most romantic, dreamy location.

The first weekend of March I hosted two days of mini sessions for families and soon-to-be mamas. I had always dreamed of incorporating natural greenery and flowers into a session and when I reached out to Tiffany to see if she was as excited as I was!

Tiffany (@tiffanybrittdesigns) brought my vision to life using natural greenery in my backyard and a beautiful selection of real flowers. I was so inspired as I watched her create this gorgeous backdrop for my sessions!

The weekend went so well! I had 15 sessions and we lucked out with the most beautiful, sunny, Spring weather.

And of course I had to get some with my girls! I was exhausted after all the sessions, but I’m so glad I threw on a dress and let my husband (who so graciously offered) snap a few!

There are so many beautiful dresses out right now! And what better excuse to purchase a gorgeous dress than for family photos?

I am loving the soft, feminine style that seems to be so popular right now - smocked bodices, puff sleeves, soft florals… Have you noticed this in stores and online?

As you’ll see below, I’ve put together some favorites that I’ve come across online. I tried to aim for lots of variety in style, price, and color.
